This course covers two different ways to build a strong hooding behavior for your bird of prey.

For this course, we chose some of our most difficult birds to train to hood. Some hood training has taken us as little as five minutes or less to train, and some has taken a few weeks. It really depends on your bird's learning history with the hood and with hands.

Take some time to review the various methods. We think of using food as the most valuable, but it may not be.

If you absolutely must hood your bird for an emergency, hood it in a dark room where it cannot associate you with this activity. This will help preserve your relationship and its association with the hood.
