Lesson 5: Uses and Limitations of Secondary Reinforcers

All reinforcers always have different levels of value given a host of different variables, including satiation, skill and fluency for the behavior asked, noise levels, trainers present, temperature, weather, season, auditory and visual stimuli, pain levels, and so many more variables. The amount of reinforcers the bird has available to it is directly correlated to the bird’s level of skill.
